Prelude (The light of Christ enters the world)

Call to Worship – Psalm 119:10-11 NIV

“I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”

Better is One Day

How lovely is your dwelling place

Oh, Lord Almighty

For my soul longs and even faints for You

For here my heart is satisfied

Within Your presence

I sing beneath the shadow of Your wings

Better is one day in Your courts

Better is one day in Your house

Better is one day in Your courts

Than thousands elsewhere

One thing I ask and I would seek

To see Your beauty

To find You in the place Your glory dwells

One thing I ask and I would seek

To see Your beauty

To find You in the place Your glory dwells

My heart and flesh cry out

For You, the living God

Your Spirit’s water to my soul

I’ve tasted and I’ve seen

Come once again to me

I will draw near to You

I will draw near to You

Do Lord

Do Lord, oh, do Lord, oh, do remember me,

Do Lord, oh, do Lord, oh, do remember me,

Do Lord, oh, do Lord, oh, do remember me,

Look away beyond the blue.

I’ve got a home in glory land, that outshines the sun

I’ve got a home in glory land, that outshines the sun

I’ve got a home in glory land, that outshines the sun

Look away beyond the blue.

Do Lord, oh, do Lord, oh, do remember me,

Do Lord, oh, do Lord, oh, do remember me,

Do Lord, oh, do Lord, oh, do remember me,

Look away beyond the blue.

I took Jesus as my Savior, you take Him too,

I took Jesus as my Savior, you take Him too,

I took Jesus as my Savior, you take Him too,

Look away beyond the blue.

Do Lord, oh, do Lord, oh, do remember me,

Do Lord, oh, do Lord, oh, do remember me,

Do Lord, oh, do Lord, oh, do remember me,

Look away beyond the blue.

I read about it in the book of revelation, you read it, too

I read about it in the book of revelation, you read it, too

I read about it in the book of revelation, you read it, too

Look away beyond the blue.

Do Lord, oh, do Lord, oh, do remember me,

Do Lord, oh, do Lord, oh, do remember me,

Do Lord, oh, do Lord, oh, do remember me,

Look away beyond the blue.

Prayer & Offering

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father Who Art In Heaven,

Hallowed Be Thy Name.

Thy Kingdom Come.

Thy Will Be Done

On Earth As It Is In Heaven.

Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread,

And Forgive Us Our Trespasses,

As We Forgive Those Who Trespass Against Us,

And Lead Us Not Into Temptation,

But Deliver Us From Evil.

For Thine Is The Kingdom,

And The Power, And The Glory,

For Ever And Ever

Amen

Enough

Great is Your faithfulness, oh God

You wrestle with the sinner’s heart

You lead us by still waters and to mercy

And nothing can keep us apart

So remember Your people

Remember Your children

Remember Your promise, oh God

Your grace is enough

Your grace is enough

Your grace is enough for me

Great is Your love and justice, God

You use the weak to lead the strong

You lead us in the song of Your salvation

And all Your people sing along

So remember Your people

Remember Your children

Remember Your promise, oh God

Your grace is enough

Your grace is enough

Your grace is enough for me

Yeah, Your grace is enough

Your grace is enough

Your grace is enough for me

So remember Your people

Remember Your children

Remember Your promise, oh God

Your grace is enough

Your grace is enough

Your grace is enough for me

Yeah, Your grace is enough

Heaven reaching down to us

Your grace is enough for me

God, I see Your grace is enough

I’m covered in Your love

Your grace is enough for me, for me

Scripture: Matthew 7:15-29 New Living Translation

“Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions. “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.” When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority—quite unlike their teachers of religious law.”

Sermons on the Sermon on the Mount – False, Fake and Faulty

Trading My Sorrows

I’m trading my sorrows

I’m trading my shame

I’m laying them down for the joy of the Lord

I’m trading my sickness

I’m trading my pain

I’m laying them down for the joy of the Lord

We say

Yes, Lord

Yes, Lord

Yes, yes, Lord

Yes, Lord

Yes, Lord

Yes, yes, Lord

Yes, Lord

Yes, Lord

Yes, yes, Lord

Amen

I am pressed but not crushed

Persecuted, not abandoned

Struck down but not destroyed

I am blessed beyond the curse

For His promise will endure

His joy’s gonna be my strength

Though the sorrow may last for the night

His joy comes in the morning

I’m trading my sorrows

I’m trading my shame

I’m laying them down for the joy of the Lord

I’m trading my sickness

I’m trading my pain

I’m laying them down for the joy of the Lord

We say

Yes, Lord

Yes, Lord

Yes, yes, Lord

Yes, Lord

Yes, Lord

Yes, yes, Lord

Yes, Lord

Yes, Lord

Yes, yes, Lord

Amen

Benediction
